MISSION STATEMENT: LCPS is committed to providing a high-quality, world-class education that ensures success for every student through excellence in teaching, resulting in higher academic achievement. Our educational goals focus every effort and resource to answer Four Critical Questions in a child's education.
Those questions are:
- What should students know and be able to do?
- How will we know when they have learned it?
- What do we do when they haven't learned it?
- What do we do when they come to us already knowing it?
THE LCPS FOUNDATION The Las Cruces Public Schools Foundation operates independently of the school district and the Board of Education. The LCPSF assists the district, its programs and teachers. The foundation's mission is to attract and manage private gift funds to enhance the district's educational goals. Members of the foundation's board represent a broad cross-section of the community.
