The Gila Wilderness is one of the least developed and remote National Forests in the southwest. It covers 3.3 million acres of publicly owned forest and rangeland. It is the sixth largest National Forest in the continental United States and its geography and wildlife are extremely diverse. Hiking, camping, and fishing are some of the many attractions.
